Storm Causing Some Waste Collection Delays

(Thursday, January 20, 2005) - Collection of Refuse and Recyclables in the Fairview/Clayton Park area of Halifax and some parts of Sackville has been delayed today due to storm conditions.

Some neighborhoods in these communities will receive collection services tomorrow, weather and road conditions permitting.

Collection of recyclables in some parts of Dartmouth, Cole Harbour and Western County communities has also been delayed today. Some neighborhoods in these communities will receive collection services tomorrow, weather and road conditions permitting.

Collection services for other communities in HRM have generally been completed as scheduled today.

Updates on collection status will occur later today and tomorrow morning.
