Kinsmen beach will not open July 1

Saturday, June 30, 2012 (Halifax, NS) - HRM citizens are advised that Kinsmen beach at First Lake, Lower Sackville, will not open tomorrow, July 1, due to high E.Coli levels.

HRM regularly tests the water quality at it's supervised beaches and test results received today indicated the E.Coli levels at Kinsmen beach exceed Health Canada swimming guidelines.

Citizens will be advised when the beach opens for swimming.

All other HRM supervised beaches will open as scheduled tomorrow, July 1.
