Presentation on Toronto Police Service's Graffiti Eradication Program

(Wednesday, May 1/2002)-- Staff Sergeant Heinz Kuck, co-ordinator of the Toronto Police Service's Graffiti Eradication Program, will share his experiences in combatting graffiti with Mayor Peter Kelly and Members of Halifax Regional Council tomorrow.

Staff Sergeant Kuck will make a presentation to Mayor Kelly and Councillors, HRM Senior staff, the Capital District Task Force and representatives of the various downtown business commissions on the measures Toronto has taken in recent years to try to combat graffiti.

Graffiti sprayed on both public and private property continues to be a major problem and irritant in HRM and the Mayor and Councillors are committed to developing and implementing an effective anti-graffiti strategy .
