HRM Crews to Work On Traffic Signage, Controls

(Friday, June 6/2003) Motorists are advised that HRM crews will be working on traffic signage and controls in the area of the intersection of the Herring Cove Road and the Purcell's Cove Road during the next two weeks.

Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, June 9th, on renewal of the Overhead Lane Control Signals on the Herring Cove Road, between the Armdale Rotary and the Purcell's Cove Road.

The following week, Monday, June 16th, crews will be removing the Traffic Control Signals at the intersection of the Herring Cove Road and the Purcell's Cove Road. They will be replaced with pedestrian crosswalk controls.

Motorists are urged to exercise extreme caution when workers are present, when travelling near these locations.
