Major Water Supply Exercise

(Friday, December 5, 2003 ) - Career and Volunteer Fire Fighters from Sackville, Bedford, Beaver Bank, Hammonds Plains, Waverley and Mt. Uniacke will be involved in a major water supply exercise this Saturday, December 6th @ 11:00 a.m.

The Fire Service recently purchased 4 tankers and 3 pumper/tankers with1750 gallon tanks with the capability to move and dump large quantities of water. These apparatus are used in areas where there are no fire hydrant service.

The training session will take place at Barrett Pond at Barrett Lumber Mill, Sackville (corner of Beaver Bank Road and Millwood Drive) starting at 11:00 a.m.

This exercise needs to be practised and coordinated to help fire fighters get familiarized with the apparatus, procedures and with fire fighters they don't normally work with.
