Gateway Community Safety Net
Donates $5,000 to Fire Prevention Division
(Tuesday, March 30,2004) - Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency is pleased to announce that on Wednesday, March 31st at 12:30 p.m. at Fire Station #13 (86 King St. Dartmouth) Gateway Community Safety Net, a Winnipeg based company, is donating $5,000 toward the purchase of a "hazardous house", a fire safety teaching aid for students and adults. Another cheque for $5,000 will be presented in June 2004.
Gateway Community Safety Net has supplied HRFE with 15,000 Fire Safety books that were specifically developed for our community. Donations were solicited in HRM and Gateway provided one book for every $10 raised.
