Temporary Comfort
Centre Opened in Lakeside
(Monday, November 15/04)-- A temporary comfort centre is now open
for residents of the Lakeside, Timberlea and St. Margaret’s
Bay areas who may be without power and heat as a result of the weekend
storm.
The centre, which is staffed by volunteers from the Canadian Red
Cross, is located in the Lakeside Fire Hall, 26 Myra Road.
A comfort centre is intended for brief visits by area residents
who may want to stop by and seek warmth and enjoy a hot drink and
a light snack. Such centres are not equipped for overnight accommodation.
