Public Safety Fair - Sobey’s Parking Lot - Fall River

(Thursday, October 20, 2005) – Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency advises residents in the Fall River area that their local fire station will be holding a Public Safety Fair on Saturday, October 22 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Sobey’s Parking Lot in Fall River.

With assistance from the Nova Scotia Heart and Stroke Foundation, there will be a special CPR course demonstration and practice for residents who want to assist with medical emergencies.

Displays and demonstrations from Fire, RCMP, Emergency Health Services ground ambulance and the HRM Ground Search and Rescue will also be on hand.

Come out and learn about fire safety, how to become a volunteer firefighter, the junior fire cadet program and much more! There will also be lots of prizes and activities for the kids.
