Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency Partners with
Heritage Gas for Training Exercise

(Thursday, June 8, 2006) - On Monday, June 12, Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency and Halifax Regional Police will partner with representatives from Heritage Gas to participate in a training exercise pertaining to a natural gas emergency. This exercise is being carried out to demonstrate that Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency, Halifax Regional Police and Heritage Gas are working together to be prepared for possible natural gas situations.

The exercise will take place on Baker Drive, in the Russel Lake area of Dartmouth between 1:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. Area residents are advised there will be potential sound disturbances during this training exercise, but is not a real emergency.
