Huge Turnout Expected for Festival on Gottingen

(Thursday, September 7/06)-- Councillor Dawn Sloane says organizers are hoping for a huge turnout this weekend for the annual North End Community Festival on Gottingen.

“This a great opportunity for young and old to enjoy the culture of our community. There will be musical performances, art workshops, spoken word, food/craft vendors, bike races, sidewalk sales, and games. All events are free!” says Councillor Sloane.

The Festival on Gottingen will be held this Sunday (September 10) from 2 to 7 PM on Gottingen Street, between Cornwallis and Cunard Streets.

Everyone is welcome to enjoy a free barbeque and other activities at the George Dixon Centre, from 6 to 9 PM. There will also be a fireworks display.
