Sloane Says Commercial Operations Remain Open for Business

( Tuesday, September 19/06)-- Councillor Dawn Sloane issued a reminder to the residents of HRM today that it’s “business as usual” for commercial operations on Cornwallis Street and on other streets around the Commons.

Councillor Sloane said there is an alternate route via Gottingen Street to access businesses on Cornwallis Street, although she warned there might be some minor traffic delays due to overall scope of set-up operations for the Concert on the Commons this Saturday.

“At this point, only the south-bound lanes on North Park Street, between Cunard and Cogswell Streets, are closed to traffic. All the others will remain open and only four (North Park Street, Robie Street, Cunard Street and Cogswell Street) will be closed to traffic on concert Day this Saturday,” she said.

For information regarding street closures, parking restrictions and special Metro Transit shuttle services for the concert, residents are encouraged to contact the HRM Call centre at 490-4000 or visit the HRM website at www.halifax.ca
