1954 Fire Truck Donated to Halifax Regional Fire Service

(Friday, September 29, 2006) - A 1954 Bickle Seagrave Aerial fire truck is being donated to the Halifax Regional Fire & Emergency by Marie Power, wife of deceased platoon chief Weldon Power. The truck was bought for $1,000 by the Stewiacke Fire Department. Weldon Power was also a volunteer in the Stewiacke Fire Department.

The truck was given to Marie Power and her family when Chief Powell passed away and now Mrs. Power wants to give it back to the fire service. The truck will be housed at 86 King Street, Dartmouth.
