Uniacke Community Rink Event Postponed

(Friday, January 5/07)-- The volunteer effort to re-assemble the outdoor community ice rink at the George Dixon Centre tomorrow has been postponed due to warm weather conditions.

Councillor Dawn Sloane said organizers have re-scheduled the event to Saturday, January 13th.

“This has proven to be a great family event and an even greater pass-time for the youth to enjoy,” Councillor Sloane said. “This is the second year for the outdoor rink and many local residents are looking forward to it.”

The Councillor said organizers are also appealing to the public to donate ice skates for the event, particularly for girls and boys in sizes 7,8,9, and10.
