Councillor Gloria McCluskey Misquoted

(Thursday, April 5, 2007) - An article in the Wednesday, April 4th Mail Star incorrectly quoted HRM District 5 Councillor Gloria McCluskey in a story related to improvements to the Lake Banook/Sullivan’s Pond area.

The quote reads, “I don’t agree with that big concrete structure (The David Jones Memorial Judges Tower) that’s up there. Maybe that should really be removed. It is really outdated. We can really tidy that up.”

The reporter, Susan Bradley, erroneously referred to “that big concrete structure” as The David Jones Memorial Judges Tower.

What Councillor McCluskey was actually referring to was the concrete bleechers at the top of Silver’s Hill.
