Cancellation of Scheduled Workshop on Off-Leash Parks Strategy

(Tuesday, August 7, 2007) - HRM would like to advise residents that a Workshop scheduled for Wednesday, August 8th inviting members of the public to discuss HRM’s Off-Leash Parks Strategy has been cancelled due to an unforeseen circumstance.

On June 26, 2007, Halifax Regional Council approved the HRM Off-Leash Parks Strategy. Five(5) parks have been selected for a 12-month off-leash area pilot program.

The public was invited to take part in the design of off-leash areas for these parks at a workshop concerning the Hemlock Ravine Regional Park in the Don McNeil Room (R401) Wednesday, August 8 from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM in the Rosaria Student Centre at Mount St. Vincent University.

This workshop has been cancelled and will be rescheduled for September 2007.
