Springfield Beach Closed to Swimmers

(Wednesday, August 8/07) - Springfield Beach, located on Springfield Lake in Sackville, has been closed to swimming due to water quality problems. Meanwhile, Kinsman Beach on First Lake in Sackville and Long Pond Beach on Long Pond in Halifax, also remain closed to swimmers.

HRM thanks the public for its cooperation and apologizes for any inconvenience.

For information regarding water quality issues, inquiries should be addressed to the Nova Scotia Department of the Environment.
