Thanksgiving Day Collection Notice

(Wednesday, October 3/07) B HRM would like to advise residents there will be no regular municipal solid waste collection services provided on Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 8, 2007. Collection of garbage, organics or recyclables normally scheduled on Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 8th will occur the preceding Saturday, October 6th.

The Otter Lake Waste Processing and Disposal Facility, the two Composting Facilities and the HRM Recycling Plant at 50 Chain Lake Drive will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Monday, October 8th but will be open on Saturday, October 6th with normal operating hours.

The Halifax Regional Municipality’s residential Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot will be closed Saturday, October 6th but will be open Saturday, October 13th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
