Mayor’s Roundtable on Violence:
Community Roundtables

(Friday, November 2/07) As part of the Mayor’s Roundtable on Violence, HRM residents are invited to join Mayor Peter Kelly and some members of Council Monday evening for one of the six Community Roundtables on Violence being held throughout HRM this month.

The facilitated session will offer residents the chance to provide community-specific feedback on challenges and solutions to violent crime in HRM. All residents are welcome to attend the Community Roundtables.

              7 pm

Feedback from the Community Roundtables, as well as comprehensive research, focus group and survey findings, will be presented at the final Mayor’s Roundtable on Violence discussions in November. A detailed report will be delivered this winter outlining a workable long-term strategy with key recommendations for community stakeholders.

Four Community Roundtables have taken place to date in Sackville, Halifax, Armdale and Hatchet Lake; one other is scheduled in Dartmouth (November 6).
