Labour Day Collection Notice

(Thursday, August 28, 2008) B HRM would like to advise residents there will be no regular municipal collection services provided on Labour Day, Monday, September 1, 2008. Collection of garbage, organics or recyclables normally scheduled on Labour Day, Monday, September 1st will occur the preceding Saturday, August 30th.

The Otter Lake Waste Processing and Disposal Facility, the two Composting Facilities and the HRM Recycling Plant will be closed on Labour Day, Monday, September 1st but will be open on Saturday, August 30th with normal operating hours.

The Halifax Regional Municipality's residential Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot will be closed Saturday, August 30th but will be open Saturday, September 6th from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
