Bayers Road/Romans Avenue Road Construction

(Tuesday, August 17, 2010) - Attention motorists, on or about Wednesday, August 18th water main work at the intersection of Bayers Rd. and Romans Avenue will require lane reductions. This scheduled work is part of an ongoing Critical Valve Replacement Program.

The duration of this work is approximately 2 weeks.

In order to minimize traffic disruptions the work will be carried out between the hours of 6pm and 6am.

Streets will remain open, but there will be lane reductions during construction.

To facilitate the work, a limited number of customers in the immediate vicinity will be temporarily out of water from 10 pm-6am, Wednesday August 18th and Thursday August 19th. Affected customers have been notified directly by project contractor ACL Construction Ltd.

Sidewalk access will be maintained.

Experienced traffic control personnel will be on-site to ensure smooth traffic flow. On site personnel will also maintain communication with local residents and businesses to help minimize disruption.
Motorists are asked to use alternate routes where possible and to proceed carefully through the work zone. Motorists are also reminded that speed fines double in work zones.

We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary infrastructure work may cause.
