Change of Date for TD Bank’s 2010 Dartmouth Christmas Tree Lighting

(December 3, 2010) – Organizers have moved the 2010 Annual TD Dartmouth Christmas Tree Lighting festivities at Sullivan's Pond to Sunday, December 5 from 4:30 pm to 6:15 pm. The time and events line-up remain the same.

Live music will be provided by local school choirs and Razzmatazz.  There will be free candy canes, the Kiwanis Club “Santa Claus Express Train Ride”, a visit from Santa, the tree lighting and fireworks over Sullivan's Pond.

Visitors to the event can support Feeding Others of Dartmouth (FOOD) who will be hand to collect loonies and toonies.

The Nova Scotia Power LED Light Exchange, presented by the Downtown Dartmouth Business Commission, is promoting energy efficient Christmas lighting through an exchange program during this year's TD Bank Dartmouth Christmas Tree Lighting.  Bring two sets of your old Christmas lights to the tree lighting ceremony and have them exchanged for one set of energy efficient LED Christmas lights. Quantities are limited, so they are handed out on a first come, first served basis.
