HRM Snow Removal Update

(February 3, 2011) - As of 3.30pm today, P1 HRM streets are clear with some slippery sections. Work this evening will include some lane widening and intersection clean-up.

HRM P2 streets have been cleared, with some isolated areas getting additional push back tonight.

Work continues on the sidewalks. The P1 (Arterial) and P2 (Transit) have had a first pass, but will require additional scraping at intersections and where street operations have put more snow on them. Three-quarters of the P3 sidewalks are complete, with the remainder being finished overnight.

Bus stop clearing operations will take place in all three regions tonight.

Please note: Alderney Drive in Dartmouth will be closed at 11 pm tonight for approximately six hours, between Ochterloney Street and Portland Street, to allow for snow removal.

As always, residents are asked to ensure vehicles are not left on the street to obstruct snow removal operations.

In emergency situations, please call 911 and the dispatchers there will contact Municipal Operations if they require immediate snow removal.
