Nominations Sought for Mayor’s Awards for Emerging Theatre Artist and Achievement in Theatre

(Friday, February 25, 2011) - Halifax Regional Municipality is seeking nominations for the Mayor’s Awards for Emerging Theatre Artist and for Achievement in Theatre. Both awards will be presented at the Theatre Nova Scotia Merritt Awards at Alderney Landing Theatre on March 28, 2011.

1. Award for Emerging Theatre Artist - this award recognizes the outstanding talent of an emerging theatre artist who is a resident of the Halifax Regional Municipality.

2. Award for Achievement in Theatre - this award recognizes the outstanding achievement in theatre by a resident of the Halifax Regional Municipality.
