Chillers Removed from Oval Site

(March 17, 2011) - HRM advises that the six chillers and associated piping and pumps used to operate the Canada Games Oval will be moved this morning to a secure location in HRM. This is a preventive measure to minimize the risk of vandalism and reduce the cost of nightly security. The move is part of the decommissioning of the site.

A staff report is scheduled to go to Council at the end of the month with recommendations on long-term options for the future of the Oval.
