Opportunity to Share Your Vision for the Cole Harbour Basin Region

(October 18, 2011) - Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM) invites residents to contribute to a conversation about open spaces in the area of the Cole Harbour, Westphal, Lawrencetown and Cow Bay - communities collectively known as the Cole Harbour Basin.

This visioning gathering session is a critical part of the project to help guide HRM in where to invest resources in a sustainable open space system within the Cole Harbour Basin area.

When: Saturday, October 22, 2011, 1:15 - 4 p.m.
Where: Hillside Wesleyan, 50 Ritcey Crescent, Cole Harbour

Public open space is represented by green for parks and conservation areas, blue for streams, rivers, lakes and estuaries, and grey for streets and sidewalks. Public open space affects culture, economy, and environment and is a big factor in creating a vibrant, sustainable community.

Join in on the conversation about public open spaces and come ready to fully participate, challenge your assumptions and take responsibility for what you care about. In the meantime, please visit www.planthebasin.ca, or “like” us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/PlanTheBasin.
