PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

HRM Storm Update Sunday January 23, 2005 21:30 hrs

There will be no solid waste collection services tomorrow (Monday, January 24) in areas where regular collection takes place on Mondays.

Waste collection for these areas has been re-scheduled for Saturday, January 29, 2005.

Also, HRM's Otter Lake facility and other collection facilities will remain closed tomorrow.

Employees of Halifax Regional Municipality are advised that they should report for work as usual tomorrow morning (Monday, January 24) unless advised otherwise.

HRM employees are asked to listen for storm updates on Community Radio 97.9 FM or to monitor other media outlets in the event there are new developments as a result of storm conditions overnight.

Employees may also contact there immediate supervisor to learn of any new developments regarding municipal office operations for tomorrow.
