Are you on the voters list?

Monday, July 30, 2012 (Halifax, NS) - HRM will be conducting revisions to the voters list from July 30 to August 24, 2012.

The purpose of the revisions period is to update the list of electors by adding, changing or removing voter information to ensure this list is accurate. Voter notification letters will be sent out to individuals on the voters list through Canada Post starting September 24, 2012.

Have you recently moved to HRM or turned 18? Have you moved within HRM or changed your name? Has someone in your household left HRM or passed away? If you answered yes to any of these questions, it's important you contact the HRM Election Office to make those revisions.

You can confirm your name on the voters list with a self-serve search tool by visiting http://www.halifax.ca/election/Voterslist.html or phone the HRM Election Office at 490-8683, toll-free 1-888-820-8683, TDD 490-6645, TDD toll-free 1-866-236-0020, Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

You can be added to the voters list if you are 18 years of age or older on October 20, 2012, a Canadian citizen and a resident of HRM for at least three months prior to the election and continue to live in HRM.

Make your voting experience easy and convenient. Make sure your name is on the voters list. Make your vote count. Visit halifax.ca/election for more information on the 2012 Municipal and School Board elections.
