Easter Solid Waste Collection Notice

 

(Wednesday, April 4, 2012) - HRM would like to remind residents that there will be no regular municipal solid waste collection services provided on Good Friday, April 6, 2012. Curbside collection of garbage, organics or recyclables normally scheduled for Good Friday, April 6 will occur the next day, Saturday, April 7.

The Otter Lake Waste Processing and Disposal Facilities, the two Composting Facilities and the HRM Recycling Plant will be closed on Good Friday, April 6 (and Easter Sunday, April 8) but will be open on Saturday, April 7 and Monday, April 9 with regular operating hours.

The HRM’s residential Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot will be closed Saturday, April 7 but will be open Saturday, April 14 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
