New urban trail opens in HRM

Thursday, May 24, 2012 - A new multi-use trail in Halifax is opening this weekend. Residents are invited to join HRM Councillor Sue Uteck, Halifax Citadel-Sable Island MLA Leonard Preyra, Senator Stephen Greene and Mark Poirier, president of the Halifax Urban Greenway Association (HUGA) to celebrate the trail’s official opening.

What: Official opening of the Halifax Urban Greenway

When: Saturday, May 26 at 11 a.m.

Where: Parkette at the corner of South Street and Beaufort Avenue

The celebration includes activities for the kids, refreshments, and an overview of future plans for the trail. Visit: http://halifaxurbangreenway.org/
