Help keep catch basins clear of leaves to limit flooding

 

(Wednesday, October 31, 2012) – HRM’s Municipal Operations crews are working to clear catch basins of leaves in an effort to limit flooding, but they could use a little neighbourly support.

 

Residents who have catchbasins near their homes are asked to pitch in where possible to rake up leaves that could prevent water from entering the storm water system. This will limit the potential for flooding on streets and private property.
