Landscaping work begins at Emera Oval

 

Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 (Halifax, NS) - Landscaping work has begun at the Emera Oval. The Oval and surrounding park area are currently fenced off to allow for this work and will not be accessible to the public. Work is expected to be completed around the beginning of December 2012.

 

Crews will be also working to widen a portion of the Cogswell Street sidewalk, adjacent to the Oval site.  There will be no pedestrian access on the sidewalk from the crosswalk at the Pavilion Building to North Park Street until early December.  Various short-term disruptions to pedestrian access along the walkway from Cogswell Street to the fountain, for lighting installations, should also be expected.

 

HRM apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and will make every effort to minimize the impact on pedestrian access around the construction site.
