Metro Transit's free designated driver service on New Year's Eve
Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 (Halifax, NS) – Take the ferry or bus on us this New Year’s Eve with the 27th annual Metro Transit free designated driver service on New Year’s Eve.
Metro Transit bus, Access-A-Bus and Alderney Ferry services will offer extended hours on New Year’s Eve and rides are free beginning at 8:30 p.m. until the end of service as follows:
Bus* & Access-A-Bus: 8:30 p.m. until 2 a.m. (check schedules for last trip times)
Alderney Ferry: 8:30 p.m. – 1:45 a.m. (last departure from Halifax)
*Excludes MetroLink and MetroX services
This long running program is made possible through the generous support of the Amalgamated Transit Union Local 508 and our partners, Oland’s, the Chronicle Herald, Q104, and Safety Services Nova Scotia.
