HRM encourages students moving to check collection
schedules
Monday, April 16, 2012 - Many university students will be packing
up and moving out this month. HRM reminds students to check their curbside
garbage and recycling collection schedules and to only place acceptable
materials at the curb. The garbage limit for apartment buildings with six units
or less is five bags per unit, plus two bulky items on each garbage collection
day. There is no limit on blue bag or paper
recyclables.
If you have usable furniture you don't need, Halifax's largest
annual garage sale "Dump & Run" will be taking place on April 29 at the
Dalhousie Studley Gymnasium from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. The organizers can be contacted
via Facebook (search Halifax Dump and Run 2012) or Twitter: @HalifaxDumpNRun for
details or to arrange making a donation.

composting, visit: halifax.ca/recycle or call
