Natal Day Festival Sea Cadet Ceremony of the Flags Location Change

Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012 (Halifax, NS) -  The Natal Day Festival Steering Committee wishes to advise that the Sea Cadet Ceremony of the Flags has been relocated from the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic to the Grand Parade in front of Halifax City Hall. The ceremony will take place on Monday, Aug. 6 at 7 p.m.

Over 200 cadets host this military tradition of lowering the Canadian flag at sunset, the Beating Retreat, a feu de joie, the firing of naval field guns, perform an eight-point dip with the provincial colours, and delight the audience with wonderful music.
