Natural Gas Pipeline Installation – Joseph Howe Drive

Wednesday, Aug 1, 2012 (Halifax, NS) – Beginning today, Wednesday, Aug. 1, a new natural gas main will be installed along Joseph Howe Drive. The current phase includes work along Joseph Howe Drive from Springvale Avenue to Mumford Road.

The pipe installation and street reinstatement is expected to take approximately three weeks. No on-street work is permitted from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Monday to Friday.

During the installation, plans include crossings of other underground infrastructure in the intersections of Joseph Howe Drive at Springvale, and Joseph Howe Drive at Mumford. While excavating in these intersections, the traffic signals will be turned off and the intersection will be controlled by Traffic Control Persons. Motorists are encouraged to take alternate routes if possible.

Heritage Gas and HRM apologize in advance for any inconvenience these delays may cause.
