Natural Gas Pipeline Installation – Pleasant Street at CN Underpass

Tuesday, July 31, 2012 (Halifax, NS) – Beginning Friday, Aug. 3, 2012, the installation of the new natural gas main along Pleasant Street will continue under the CN bridge near Belmont Avenue.

The pipe installation and concrete work is expected to take the majority of the long weekend (Aug. 3-6) to complete. The work hours will start on Friday at 9 a.m. and will continue 24 hours/day until the installation is complete. During this time, Pleasant Street will be reduced to two lanes (one in each direction). Pleasant Street will be re-opened to full width for Tuesday morning rush hour, and then reduced back down to two lanes between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Tuesday or Wednesday to re-pave the area (weather-permitting).
