Natural Gas Pipeline Installation – Portland Street

 

 

The installation will affect the following areas:

Portland Street (Pleasant Street to Canal Street)

Canal Street (Portland Street to 35 Canal Street)

 

Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 (Halifax, NS) - A natural gas pipeline installation is tentatively scheduled to begin the week of October 15, 2012. Work on the project will last approximately two to three weeks. Restoration will follow the project as it progresses.

 

There will be no work on the street during peak hours of 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Motorists can expect one lane of traffic to be maintained in each direction from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.

 

Motorists should expect delays and are requested to find alternate routes where possible. Heritage Gas and HRM apologize for any inconvenience.
