Official Unveiling of the Spryfield Skatepark
Mosaic
Friday, May 11, 2012 - Residents are invited to come out
and celebrate the unveiling of the Spryfield Skatepark Mosaic today, Friday, May
11 from 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at the Captain William Spry Centre, 10 Kidston
Road.
The 47-foot-long outdoor mosaic is the first of its kind in Nova
Scotia. Made of a variety of stones, hand-dyed glass tessare pieces, clay, and
various metals, the mosaic features the collective artwork of over 300 local
students and residents.
Make your own buttons with rubbings from the
mosaic, enjoy free snacks and drinks, and music from 101.3 The
BOUNCE.
The celebration is taking place in conjunction with the annual
SkateJam.
