NATURAL GAS PIPELINE INSTALLATION -

SCOT STREET AND JOSEPH HOWE DRIVE

(Tuesday, Nov. 15, 2011) - Beginning late this week, natural gas pipeline installation will take place on Scot Street from Rowe Avenue to Joseph Howe Drive, and on Joseph Howe Drive between Scot Street and Bayers Road / Dutch Village Road.

The work will take place Monday to Friday for approximately three weeks. Motorists should take note that Scot Street will be closed to eastbound traffic between Rowe Avenue and Joseph Howe Drive while construction is taking place on Scot Street. Transit service will be maintained, but buses will be using a modified route in the eastbound direction.

Work along Joseph Howe Drive is restricted to off-peak hours. During the off-peak hours, a minimum of two lanes will be maintained on Joseph Howe Drive, however, some delays are expected.

Motorists are encouraged to find alternate routes if possible. All lanes on Joseph Howe Drive will be open to traffic between the hours of 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Heritage Gas and HRM apologize in advance for any inconvenience these delays may cause.
