Weather causing collection delay for garbage, organics, recyclables
(Friday, December 23, 2011, 1 p.m.) - Due to the snow and related road conditions, the collection of garbage, organics, and recyclables will be delayed in some areas of Halifax Regional Municipality.
The portions of areas with Friday collection where some delay in collection will occur are as follows:
Area One - Side streets in Spryfield, Northwest Arm, Armdale, collection of green carts and recyclables
Area Two - Dartmouth, side streets off of the Windmill Road area, collection of garbage and recyclables
Area Three - Bedford, hills and side streets off of Dartmouth Road, collection of garbage and recyclables
Area Four - Side and private roads in Sambro, Ketch Harbour, Williamswood, Herring Cove, collection of garbage
Area Five - Side and private roads in Fall River, Windsor Junction, collection of green carts and recyclables
Area Six - Cole Harbour, Westphal minimal issues for collection of green carts and recyclables Area Eight - Side roads in Sheet Harbour area for collection of garbage
For portions of these areas noted above where collection has not occurred, collection is delayed until this Monday, December 26, 2011.
Residents are reminded to place materials curbside by 7:00 a.m. on collection day to ensure service as collection times may vary.
