Natural Gas Pipeline Installation – Pleasant Street

(Imperial Oil entrance to Highway 111)

Friday, August 24, 2012 (Halifax, NS) – Heritage Gas and their contractor (R.B. Sommerville) continue installation of a new natural gas main this week along Pleasant Street from the Imperial Oil refinery main entrance to the existing pipe northwest of the intersection of Pleasant Street and Highway 111.

The pipe installation is expected to take approximately six weeks to complete. In order to minimize the impact to the motoring public, most of the work will take place at night from 6 p.m. to 7 a.m., with occasional work during the day from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. During work hours, Pleasant Street will be reduced to two lanes of traffic (one in each direction). All lanes will be re-opened to traffic during peak hours, 7 – 9 a.m. and 4 – 6 p.m., Monday to Friday.

Heritage Gas and HRM apologize in advance for any inconvenience these delays may cause.
