Update to Paper Mill Lake Dam Repairs

Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012 - Annapolis Group Incorporated has advised that the recent and persistent heavy rain events have made it difficult to maintain the lowered water level in Paper Mill Lake that is needed to complete the work in the dry portion of the lake and stream bed.

Provided the weather cooperates, appropriate dewatering can be achieved to allow a reasonable portion of the work to continue this year within an approved extended work window to December 31, 2012. Completion of the balance of the project will be scheduled for early to mid-summer of 2013

Improvements by HRM to the Scott Saunders Park and access to the Paper Mill Lake are progressing as planned. This work involves the replacement of all wooden structures including steps to the Lake and construction of a new concrete retaining wall. Completion of this work is scheduled for October 31, 2012.
