New traffic signals on Nantucket Avenue at Dartmouth Sportsplex driveway

Friday, July 13, 2012 (Halifax, NS) - HRM citizens are advised that yesterday new traffic signals were installed on Nantucket Avenue at the Dartmouth Sportsplex driveway, replacing the overhead crosswalk light.

Pedestrians travelling through this intersection must press the pedestrian button and wait for the pedestrian walk signal as they would at other traffic signal intersections. Motorists are to obey the traffic signals and stop at the stop bar when light is red, only proceeding through the intersection on a green light.

HRM citizens should heed caution at this intersection as motorists and pedestrians become familiar with the new traffic signals.
