Tel Aviv Moments is a touring art exhibit launched by the Tel Aviv-Yafo Municipality which features photos taken by residents of the city from all walks of life. The collection of several dozen images, selected from more than 10,000 submissions from both professional and amateur photographers, will be on display for public viewing at City Hall during regular business hours (8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) from July 8-18.
Mayor Mike Savage and Joël Lion, Consul General of Israel to Quebec and the Atlantic provinces, will officially open the exhibit in Halifax Hall, 2nd Floor City Hall, on Monday, July 7 at 5 p.m. Media and the public are welcome to attend.
“We’re fortunate to host this unique exhibit and show our support for global diversity and the arts,” said Mayor Savage. “Like the pluralism we value here in Halifax, the art exhibit is meant to showcase Tel Aviv’s unique human mosaic of culture, people, nightlife and diversity.”
Since Halifax Hall is routinely used for meetings, visitors to Tel Aviv Moments are asked to call 490-4039 in advance to confirm with municipal staff that the exhibit is open for public viewing.
