2000/2001 Interim Tax Billings to Be Mailed Out
(Tuesday March 14/2000)-- The 2000/2001 Interim Tax Bills will be mailed out to HRM property owners over the next week, beginning this Thursday ( March 16th).
The due date for the billings is May 1st. Interim tax bills are based on 50% of the previous year's total tax amount.
HRM will mail out approximately 91,000 interim tax bills directly to the customers. The remaining 40,000 bills will be issued to the financial institutions for payment on behalf of their mortgage customers.
In the case of new mortgage customers, HRM urges them to ensure the Interim Tax Bill is forwarded to the appropriate financial institution for payment.
Payment Options:
* Direct payment may be made at most financial institutions, Interac automated banking machines, PC Banking and Telebanking ( contact your branch for registration details and potential applicable fee information )
* In Person at the following Customer Service Centres:
