Display Marks 10th Anniversary of Gulf War
(Wednesday, September 20/2000)-- Five large panels depicting media coverage of the role of Canada's armed forces fleet in the Gulf War 10 years ago are on display in the foyer of City Hall.
The display, prepared by Maritime Forces Atlantic, features a large number of press clippings and photographs of the Canadian Forces preparing for, departing Halifax for, and on location in the Persian Gulf.
The panels, which were prepared to mark the 10th anniversary of the Gulf War, will be on display at City Hall for the next three weeks and then be taken on a cross-Canada tour in late fall.
