Point Pleasant Park to remain closed for another day
(Tuesday, December 19/2000)-- In the interest of public safety, Point Pleasant Park will remain closed to the public today until further notice.
Parks and Natural Service crews are continuing to remove fallen trees and branches as a result of yesterday's high winds. Crews report that at least 12 trees have fallen across roads and paths in the Park and power and communication lines are still down in certain areas of the Park.
Parks and Natural Service crews request the cooperation of the public while they complete their clean up operation.
