Downtown Archaeological Dig Yields Plenty of Artifacts
(Monday, July 23/2001)-- Mayor Peter Kelly will officially open an exhibit of historic artifacts recovered from the site of the new municipal parking garage in downtown Halifax during a ceremony at City Hall tomorrow.

Halifax Regional Municipality, project developer The Hardman Group, the Nova Scotia Museum and Dr. Stephen Davis, Archeologist, St. Mary's University, collaborated on a process to develop a research schedule which kept the project on time and on budget, yet also achieved the broader goals of researching our community's heritage.
When: Tuesday, July 24/2001
Time: 10:30 a.m.
Where: Halifax Hall, City Hall, 1841 Argyle Street, Halifax
(The official opening of the Exhibit will take place in the west hallway on the Main Floor of City Hall immediately following the news briefing.)
