Chainsaw Sculptor Returning to Point Pleasant

(Wednesday, August 8/2001)-- Chainsaw sculptor Alex McLeod, of Pictou, will be resuming his work in Point Pleasant Park tomorrow (Thursday) morning, beginning at approximately 9 a.m.

Interested members of the media are asked to gather shortly before 9 a.m. in the upper parking lot (Tower Road entrance) and they may join Mr. McLeod as he walks to his work site off Cambridge Road.

Mr. McLeod sought, and was granted, permission from the Point Pleasant Park Advisory Committee to carve figures from dead trees and other materials present in the park.
