Accessibility info.(Thursday, September 13, 2001)-- Mayor Peter Kelly and Members of Halifax Regional Council encourage citizens of the Halifax Regional Municipality to commemorate the National Day of Mourning declared by Prime Minister Jean Chretien to honour victims killed and injured in the terrorist attacks on Tuesday in whatever way they feel is appropriate.
Mayor Kelly stated today that a memorial book will also be available for signature by members of the public in the foyer of City Hall, 1841 Argyle Street, Halifax, beginning at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, September 14, 2001, for approximately one week.The memorial book will be given to the Acting Consul General Mark Seibel to be forwarded on to the Mayor of New York City, Rudy Giuliana.
